What we collect, and what we don't

Who we are

This notice covers the Rakiura platform, operated by Rakiura Labs, Inc. (“Rakiura”, “we”, “us”). If you have any question about your data, email support@rakiura.co — a person reads it.

Analytics

We measure how the platform is used with PostHog, hosted in the European Union. Our analytics are anonymous and cookieless by design:

• We don’t set any analytics cookies and store nothing on your device for analytics — measurement lives only in memory for the length of a page session and is gone when you close the tab.
• We never attach your identity to analytics. We don’t link analytics to your account, even when you’re signed in.
• We configure PostHog to discard IP addresses, so we don’t collect them for analytics.
• We don’t build behavioural profiles of individuals and we don’t auto-capture clicks. We look at aggregate usage — page views and paths — to understand the product.
• Session replay is off for visitors in the EU and UK. Where it is ever used, every form input is masked so we can’t see what you type.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe handles your card details directly. We keep your membership level, your membership status, and a record of payments (amounts and dates).

Email

We use Resend to send email — the transactional messages the service needs (sign-in codes, receipts, gift redemptions) and, if you opt in, updates from the labs you follow. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and our emails carry a one-click unsubscribe header so your mail client can unsubscribe you in a single tap. Transactional email is not used for marketing.

Accounts

Sign-in uses Supabase Authentication with one-time email codes, so we never store a password. For your account we store your email address, your display name, and an optional avatar.

Error monitoring

We use Sentry to catch and diagnose errors so we can fix them. Sentry is configured not to send personal information with error reports.

What we don't do

We don’t sell your personal data, we don’t share it with advertisers, and there are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies on the platform.

Your rights and contact

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. Email support@rakiura.coand we’ll handle your request directly. If you’re in the EU or UK, these are your rights under the GDPR, and you can also complain to your local data-protection authority.
