Community research · Project Starshade
NASA decisions are made on scientific return. The Starshade's core argument — that it can do things a coronagraph simply cannot — needs to be made rigorously and publicly. This project builds that case.
The community conducts a systematic analysis of the 25–50 nearest Sun-like stars, asking: which systems have the best odds of hosting a detectable Earth-analog, and what would Starshade uniquely reveal about them that a coronagraph could not? The output is a prioritized target catalog with scientific rationale — a community-authored document that Sara's team can cite, present, and publish.
